With profound sorrow, Bethsaida Girls Secondary School joins the nation and the wider community in honoring the life and legacy of His Eminence Cardinal Polycarp Pengo.
Cardinal Pengo was not only a spiritual leader but a guiding light whose wisdom, encouragement, and unwavering support helped shape the vision and growth of Bethsaida. As a father of the school, his influence extended far beyond words. His belief in the power of education, especially for vulnerable and orphaned children, laid a foundation of hope that continues to transform lives today.
Through his guidance and moral support, Bethsaida has witnessed a remarkable journey of impact and achievement. Today, we stand proud that more than 400 young women have graduated from our school, carrying forward the values of resilience, dignity, and purpose that he so deeply cherished.
This is undoubtedly a difficult and emotional moment for the Bethsaida family. Yet even in grief, we remain comforted by the enduring legacy he leaves behind — a legacy written in the lives of the many students he inspired, supported, and believed in.
May his wisdom continue to guide us, and may his memory forever remain a blessing to our community.
Rest in Peace, Your Eminence.
