Project Details

Bethsaida Orphanage Secondary School is seeking support for the construction of a modern and safe student kitchen to enhance the nutrition, hygiene, and overall well-being of our girls. As a boarding school dedicated to educating and caring for orphaned and vulnerable girls, we currently face significant challenges in our meal preparation processes. The existing cooking area is outdated, overcrowded, and lacks proper facilities to serve the growing number of students efficiently. The situation affects the quality and safety of food, the health of kitchen staff, and ultimately the daily experience of the girls under our care. This proposed project aims to construct a well-ventilated, hygienic, and energy-efficient kitchen fully equipped with modern cooking stoves, food storage units, sinks with running water, and a secure food preparation area. A proper kitchen will not only improve the nutritional standards for our students but also provide a space for training in home economics and catering—empowering girls with valuable life skills. The estimated cost for the full kitchen construction and equipment is approximately $25,000. We warmly invite donors, organizations, and partners to stand with us in this effort.
